In the three and a half years at ICICI Bank Treasury
I have worked in borrowings new product development
trading and funds and asset-liability management. I
have attended a workshop on ALM at New York and would
be attending a course on Financial Investment Technology
at the University of California. My current responsibilities
include management of market risks on the balance sheet
of ICICI Bank with emphasis on multi- currency liquidity
interest rate risk and currency risk. The open work
culture immense responsibility given at an early stage
and excitement of participating in new products are
among the things that I have enjoyed at ICICI Bank.

'Five years ago the ICICI Bank team welcomed me with
an almost irreverent ?why-not attitude to new ideas.
In my first year itself I added half a page to my resume
through my work on greenfield manufacturing projects
financing of service sector and balance sheet restructuring
exercises. The roller coaster ride continued when I
joined the MCG to lead transactions like brand financing
(first time in India) acquisition funding and channel
financing. Job satisfaction comes when large multinational
clients go back to their HQ and say our global banker
in India is the ICICI Bank Group.

'Working at ICICI Bank Marketing has been an exciting
experience for me some one just out of B- school. I
am working on the financial e-initiatives of ICICI Bank
which allows me to constantly explore innovative ways
of developing and marketing our product in a volatile
and fast paced e-environment. Conducting extensive market
research and working with creative agencies is a key
part of my job profile and makes for an interesting
life here. At ICICI Bank I always feel that creative
thinking is highly encouraged and there is a great deal
of flexibility woven into the way we operate. Hence
even if you are junior most in the rung you do shoulder
a lot of responsibility. And the best part of it all
is working in a close-knit team in a fun filled work
environment!

'My work in the credit risk area has been very interesting
and challenging encompassing analysis of various industries
credit rating of companies instruments and portfolio
management. Since risk management is a relatively new
area in the Indian context we had the challenge and
satisfaction of developing risk management methodologies
appropriate to the Indian scenario. I had the opportunity
to visit and interact with international rating agencies
in this context. The work culture at ICICI Bank is dynamic
encourages the generation of new ideas and facilitates
continuous learning.
