Finance Manager - Corporate Centre


Job Description


Role :FARG I-GAAP

  • Financial Reporting
  • Prepare quarterly Financial Statements
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements like Accounting Standards, Companies Act, Stock exchange listing agreement etc.
  • Preparation/continuous review of accounting policy and estimates
  • Analysis of trial balance, Financials statements, notes to accounts along-with trend analyses
  • Engagement with Statutory/internal auditors
  • Daily/Monthly monitoring and reporting of key Financial Indicators
  • Tracking peer banks key financial indicators.

RBI reporting:

  • Submission of daily data on deposit/advances
  • Preparation of various input data for RBI reporting (e.g. DSB return, Form A etc.)
  • Trend analysis of information submitted to RBI through these returns

Others

  • SAP migration in new version
  • Automation of Financial statements and various reports
  • Preparation of Board/ACM notes for Committee meetings

Skill requirements:

  • Technical skills ? Indian GAAP, Ind AS and IFRS working knowledge
  • Technological skills ? Exposure to ERP (especially SAP) will be an added advantage


Role :FARG

  • Timely compilation and submission of regulatory returns / ad-hoc data requested by regulators
  • Quarterly financial statements closing related control activities, including Board/Audit Committee reporting and statutory disclosures.
  • Administration of GLs used in the Bank and activities related to opening/closing of account codes in trial balance in accounting sub-systems and compilation and submission of MIS
  • To review accounting entries of various product in the Bank
  • To develop rules for triggering outlier transactions from office accounts at branches and review those transactions to identify any process lapses, likely frauds etc.
  • To undertake process improvements and automation in the relevant processes

 

Role :Payments

Candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate accounting and processing of vendor payments and Tax deduction and return filing activity. This would involve coordination with all relevant stakeholders, Candidate must be able to work independently and manage the team and adhere to strict deadlines. Expertise in Excel will be preferred. He/she will also be responsible for compliance of all payments related statutory requirements and also keep track of all latest statutory changes. He/she must coordinate with auditors ? both internal and external to ensure audit is completed within timelines. Candidate should have good communication skills ? both verbal and written and should have good data analytical and presentation skills.

 

Role :Payroll

Candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate credit of salary for all employees of the Bank. This would involve coordination with all relevant stakeholders ? both internal and external. Candidate must be able to work independently and manage the team and adhere to strict deadlines. Candidate must handle large amounts of data and ensure data privacy. Expertise in Excel will be preferred. He/she will also be responsible for compliance of all payroll related statutory requirements and also keep track of all latest statutory changes. He/she must coordinate with auditors ? both internal and external to ensure audit is completed within timelines. Candidate should have good communication skills ? both verbal and written and should have good data presentation skills.

Systems

  • Overseeing and maintenance of system processes, reconciliation, analysis, validations and checks and co-ordination Tech-ops/ ITG team to enable following reporting:
  • Transfer price processes
  • Exposure reporting
  • LCR reporting on a daily basis
  • ALM reporting on a daily basis
  • Co-ordination with data providers and interaction & solving queries of stakeholders
  • Ensure timely completion of daily/weekly/monthly processes
  • Evaluate data requirement by users for MIS or reporting purpose and provide required data
  • Handle data requirement and coordination with auditors for reporting area
  • Raising business requirement specification (BRS) & carrying out User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all changes
  • Other requirements from business user for automation through system
  • Process walkthrough and identifying automation approach for new requirements for automations
  • Process documentation ? Prepare process document, step by step process followed to execute activity/activities
  • Assist in migration of one system to another system
  • Understanding of data base management system and sql queries will be preferable
  • Qualification CA will be preferable.
  • Retail Planning and OPEX

 

Role :Cost Management

Cost Management team is responsible for monitoring of operating expenses (including Capex spends) at Bank Level, monthly forecasting of operating and capital expenditure spends and driving cost rationalization initiatives. Additionally, the team does cost benefit analysis for proposals across various operating expenses elements, monthly reporting of expenses to senior management and provisioning of expenses. The work involves regular and continuous interaction with the business teams for optimization/process improvements of various Opex and Capex spends.

Key deliverables:

  • Tracking of operating and capital expenses of the bank and finding reasons for variation
  • Conducting senior management meetings to discuss various cost optimisation initiatives
  • Preparation and submission of MIS to RBI, senior management and internal teams
  • Evaluation of Capex proposals to aid decision making based on cost benefit analysis/ return on investment and quarterly presentation for Committee meetings
  • Implementation of Cost sharing policy and monitoring recovery from group companies
  • Benchmarking with competitors in the industry for evaluation of best practices
  • Trend analysis, analysing variance from budget and highlighting deviations for corrective action for various Opex and Capex spends
  • Related party reporting, regulatory reporting and related compliance
  • In-depth analysis of line items to derive insights for management discussion
  • Transfer pricing calculation and reporting for group companies and international locations

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of financial analysis and basic accounting skills
  • Able to utilize SAP / Advanced Excel Tools or similar tools to extract data
  • Able to work well both as an individual contributor and as a member of a team having strong organizational skills to drive results
  • Able to conceptualize for practical application. Adept at process improvement and process innovation. Copes well with change and can effectively propose changes while anticipating impact of these changes
  • Chartered Accountant/MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute with up to 3 years relevant work experience

 

Role :Planning Manager ? Retail Assets

  • Responsible for competition benchmarking and trend analysis, analysing variance from budget and highlighting deviations for corrective action
  • Analysing customer quality, profitability and return on equity and monthly meeting with senior management on business performance
  • Looking after opex line items, finding out cost rationalization opportunities and NPA analysis and MIS reporting
  • Automation of various manual MIS and handling senior management projects
  • Presentations for senior managements on regular basis and analysing segment-wise profitability and monitoring productivity of resources
  • Engaging with relevant stakeholders (Product team, RBH, Zonal heads, HR) for performance measurement
  • Few Success Factors

  1. Accounting of NPAs as per RBI guidelines (IRAC norms and other guidelines)
  2. Preparation of NPAs related management MIS and financial disclosures
  3. Review of developments and implications on stressed borrowers for early identification of NPA
  4. Regulatory reporting for NPA accounts
  5. Handling audit and regulatory inspection for NPA accounts
  6. Provision/credit loss computation of impaired loans under US GAAP and Ind AS
  7. Impairment assessment for loans as per US GAAP and Ind AS
